Hanging tapes at Kenfig for Saturday's WJS training . The morning's heavy rain had passed thru before we started, and the dunes were looking their stunning best in the sunshine. its going to be quite a long walk in, but worth it to get to the best of the area. Some sheep now grazing south of the main fence line, so hopefully given a few years that might be as good as to the North. Such a nice place to run.

Orienteering race 1:05:51 [4] 8.9 km (7:24 / km) +155m 6:48 / km

Army race at Barossa.

Bad miss on short leg to 2 - took me far too long to sort out. After that OK but sluggish.

Enjoyable outing - not difficult but lots of route choice. Some path running but lots of opportunity to run in the terrain. An impressive sub 5min k run from Ben.

MDC in the rain from Tonypandy up to Mynydd William Merrick. Opted for the slower group, but turns out the faster group wimped out of going to the top.

Brown at Godshill in the New Forest.

A lovely sunny day for running in the snow. Pretty straightforward orienteering . I was surprised to be so close to Pete Ward and Phil. I think that was probably more down to them headless chickening, than me being particularly good. But I'll take it as encouraging.

My biggest time loss was 45 s or so to no 6 where I was too far to left. Just not careful enough on my bearing. Tho running into the low winter sun at that point probably didn't help much.
