Orienteering 25:00 [2] 2.0 km (12:30 / km)

Line course at Roseisle. Jogged round really steadily picking up all the detail. Wrong side of one knoll but otherwise pretty accurate I reckon.
2 PM

Orienteering 45:00 [3] 4.5 km (10:00 / km)

Jogged round line course at Lossie then shadowed LR and AR for a bit. Estimated time.

Running 2:25:00 [3] 17.5 km (8:17 / km) +750m 6:49 / km

Long run with J. Felt grim. Clachnaben tourist cp to top - had to walk most of the climb. Then headed out towards Battock and perked up a bit for a while. Turned back before the start of the steep climb with J struggling now. Slow down the steep descent - had the wrong shoes on, knees were complaining and foot a bit funny too. Decided to go back over Mount Shade, mainly because I didn't fancy the long trudge back the same way. Climb was ok but it seemed a long slow run back from the top.
All in all feeling old and creaky :-(
Think I just need some good recovery time. Had hoped to work quite hard through the next week before easing back, but clearly my body has other ideas.

Hanging and collecting for after-school club. Got darn chilly at some point today and feeling it by the end of the session.

WeTT at Glen Davan. Some good relocation practice at times tonight. Went better after I stopped, let others go ahead and took time to sort myself out.

Running warm up/down 26:00 [2] 4.0 km (6:30 / km) +20m 6:20 / km

Feeling a bit meh, but suspected the legs weren't too bad, so decided to see if Dinnet Muir could do its magic pick-me-up. Long w-u all the way from south side half way round the loch.

Feeling a bit brighter after the w-u so decided to try the first interval... and it was ok. Dug deep to work through the full session in the end. 8x3'+1'
Treading a thin line at the mo, running tired a lot and verging on over-training. Hoping still to gain the benefit from these sessions even if they're not quite as good quality as they should be. Not easy to fit in both the quality and volume that I'd like.

Enjoyed the w-d, especially the loop round the dragonfly bog.

Plus a few roll-downs/ups. Back still a bit sore. Achey knees too.

Road cycling 58:00 [3] 19.0 km (3:03 / km) +250m 2:52 / km

Lumphanan bowl. Out to Boddomend then c-w round the loop and back by DAP. Legs felt surprisingly good and was tempting to keep riding, but reminded myself it was meant to be a recovery day. Felt like spring.
