shoes: Asics Gel Hyper Speed 6

Orienteering track test punching and turning at specified intervals. Much faster than previously but really feeling yesterday so would be interested to do it fresh.

Running warm up/down 22:31 [3] 4.24 km (5:19 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 4

Orienteering intervals 23:43 [5] 4.73 km (5:01 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 4

4x sprint relay style sprintervals wtith Tess, Fanni, Jonny and Peter (definitely the worst but really good to be pushed on by those better than me). Great session.

1st mass start which was probably my best one as although I was last was just with Tessa.

2nd went out second chasing and was pulled on wrong route choice on long leg and was then on my own but orienteered well.

3rd went out with group all chasing Peter, tiring but orienteering still there.

Was always finishing near the back but working hard so got less rest each time so decided to sit out 4th to enable me to do last one well. Jogged between.

Went out first with everyone else chasing, really happy with first few controls (in the wood!!!) then got to a not as mapped road and hesitate and Jonny flew past to changed my mind and was wrong (everyone else followed). Then bit of a headless chicken over last few when if I'd done my own thing would probably have stayed ahead of other girls).

Note

Great weekend and although I'm really tired no worse than others and health wise held up well.
Was a bit apprehensive before the weekend as was not as good as everyone else (nearly all guys) but was really good to be pushed on and I feel like I'm coming back as wasn't out of my depth. Will keep putting in the hard work and get there :).....need to be sensible now as high intensity weekend.
