went for a ride with carlos and a few others from westlake cycling team, rode up to long bay from school then did a few laps of albany stadium then i peeled off and rode home. felt good for the ride except on the hills where i was flat as, i wasnt able to keep up with carlos and clarkes accelerations like i normally would. still got a bit of a cold

first run in ages!!!!!!!
ran a bit of a course that mum and dad did the other weekend at an oy.
felt pretty flat but hopefully my legs dont hurt tomorow because they have the last few times ive run. nav was real good except for one control in the green which took me a while. good to be back running! although cycling is still mean!

took a real easy ride round taupaki just to clear my head and recover from weekend, feel sorta sick, got a runny nose and sore throat

started near the front of the bunch to avoid crashes and etc. as soon as neutral start ended attacks started coming thick and fast, whenever we caught a break the next one would go. wasnt used to surges and stuff and dropped at around 10km. it was due to a lack of bunch experience adn i am too weak still. tiem trialed by myself for the rest of the race, finished two mins behind bunch in 24th outa 60. i should have stayed in the bunch and just hurt more. next time in the race i think i shoulda attacked myself at the start and time trialed by myself, i rode far better by myself than i did in the bunch.
