CSM Day Two, Montebello to Lachute.

We have skied the section before and it’s definitely the toughest. The third leg is a beast. At least in the west to east direction it much easier to descend. By then my left elbow was starting to ache, fortunately the last two legs are relatively short and easy.
Fun weekend with the crew. One more Gold Camp for my permanent bib number!

CSM Day One, Mont Tremblant to Montebello

New route. In years past when the snow near Buckingham was poor we would ski some of this section in the Kehauk Preserve so some of it was familiar.
When we arrived at Gold Camp it was starting to snow. New snow is just as much trouble as rain as once it lands on your down (booties, pants, parka, mitts, bag) it melts due to the campfire so everything needs to be covered. I once again put the Escape bivy into service with it over my shoulders while hanging by the fire and then inside it with my bag to sleep.
