| Here's the first set of pictures from the flight to Gaborone.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/25161909@N04/sets/721... The last night was an interesting introduction to Botswana, as around 3 am the two other students from Penn knocked on our door--they were passengers in a van that was struck by a car; one had a split eyelid, the other a split ankle. So, we visited a "private" Gaborone hospital, where one of them got stitches for his eye, and then assisted the other guy stitching his own ankle until 6 am in our flat. I hope today will be a little bit less eventful.... Which it was, luckily. We had a brief orientation to working at the Princess Marina Hospital today, got food shopping done, etc. The apartments are dormitory-like, but very nice. http://www.flickr.com/photos/25161909@N04/sets/721... Tomorrow morning, I will be starting at the hospital. | ||

| On the streets of Gaborone with two other Penn students--Lauren and Amanda. We had a hand-drawn, and definitely inadequate map of few selected streets. Unfortunately, Google maps does not have a Gaborone map, but it does have the satellite, from which I tried to reconstruct our meandering running path.
