What a glorious mud bath, had the 12mm spikes on and was glad of it. After the 12 earlier races the course was shredded and really mucky which suited me. Planned to follow kieran(captain) but saw a gap and went with it, stuck with shane for all the race except the last 600 where i kicked. Going in to this race i knew i would have to work to just get in as a 6th scorer with the talent that we have, so getting in a 3rd scorer and best irish athlete in the college was brilliant. Hard work is paying off now.

Team placed 3rd with 134 points, and the women placed second in their team race. It was the first time in 15years the college has placed teams in both classes. And College placed 2nd overall.
Great day out and one of the best races ive run. 2min9sec off the winner as suppposed to 5min4sec 12months previously, and from 5th scorer to 3rd scorer in a stronger team.
