Martin's intervals. Skipped the first one. 4'09, 4'07, 4'05 then my body sort of remembered how to run and about 3'50. Knee objecting a little by the time I got home. Am getting away with this amount of training at the mo.

National XC @ Falkirk. 444/719, +42%. Quite happy with that. The start was a rather peculiar 1.5 laps of a circuit before 3 normal laps and it was a good kilometer before it was possible to run properly. Started to feel really quite good in second lap and ran past George, Dan, Ivor, faded very slightly at end and didn't pass RobF or ColinC although I had got close half way through the second lap. Knee started hurting near the end but coped. Definitely feel like I'm starting to get my act together again.

Went to MPC Monday for once, to get a session in today before chillaxing for the National. Was quite tired. 3 x 8 mins (3 min recovery). Couldn't keep up with the group/anyone, really feels like weight is the issue rather than anything else at the moment. Still, managed some decent effort.

TT was a paarlauf on Bruntsfield links, 5 x oh about 800m or so, with ColinC. Surprisingly I felt really quite good. If it wasn't for the waistline injury I'd having been running OK, as it was feeling really quite good appears to be c. 4 min/k atm.

TT was 10 x 400m reps meant to be getting faster each one although I was so tired really it was 10 x drag myself up to HM speed briefly. Almost bailed after the first one as felt quite weak and hungry. Probably should have. Second week in a row BOF sent me a ranking list email saying I had done my worst races in the past year. Hoping to surface after recent increase in total distance and to feel good at some point but that could be a while away at this rate.

ESOC Sprint O / Scottish Sprint Champs @ Broxburn, in two parts. Way down, 14th vet, +25%. Partly tired from 2nd consecutive week of more mileage and partly I'm just not going to run well until I lose weight. Had fun but need to get my running back together. At least I wasn't bothered by injuries during the race.
