Orienteering - hard race 16:55 [5]
(injured) shoes: Walsh PB racer Feb 11

SM Sprint heat. Sooo nervous before the start, really not used to having to do the quarantine thing, it was only just on the startline i realised it wasn't actually such an important race for me. i think the nerves made my legs feel empty, feeling slow, but was clean until the penultimate control, where i lost all my concentration and lost about 40s. missed the final by about 20s which was so annoying but nice to do a race like this as practice and nce to run nrealy all of it clean, so different to last weekend! So B final early tomorrow but still looking forwards to running round the town, looks really interesting sprint terrain :-)

Note
(injured)

More needles. The inflammation was 80% reduced before this treatment so hopefully that is the last that my shin will need. Might need another session for my ankle though, which was still feeling like 'old chewing gum'. Can't say enough how happy i am with this, i never thought anything would be this effective after so long injured! :-D

Aquarunning - easy 35:00 [1]
(injured)

An almost-rest day today, a bit tired from the needles and also just from training. Probs should have expected doing gym stuff and then first running intervals in ages on the same day to be quite tough!

Orienteering - medium 50:02 [3] 6.0 km (8:20 / km)
(injured) shoes: Walsh PB racer Feb 11

Quads sore today! Linne training at Östuna. Started real slowly, it was tough to run at all, but tbh ended up going a bit more than easy pace as i found myself running along with some of the guys (Loefaas' 'really easy pace' is not so easy for me!). Really interesting to see the routes they picked through the terrain, need to practice this but i guess it comes with experience. Not v confident in my orienteering at the start and when i was on my own, but running about the same pace as my mapreading most of the time. Missed a bit on 1 and 2 and a blonde moment to the finish, but other than that just a bit hesitant. So quite happy :-)

S&C (circuits) 42:00 [3]
(injured)

Thought about going early but couldn't face working out to 'lugna favoriter' again. 9am was 80s cheese time instead, much better - got both 'Eye of the Tiger' and 'Livin on a Prayer' :-D and able to forget about my shin completely on all the hops and jumps.

Alternative training warm up/down 20:00 [1]

Orienteering - hard intervals 25:00 [4]
(injured) shoes: Adidas Supernova Glide (Dec 10

Linne sprint training (with the other girls). 4 intervals, with a mass start for each one. Legs so heavy after this morning, no real kick and quite tired, but orienteering well today, the time i lost from being a bit slow was made up by looking ahead and getting the best lines a lot of the time. really fun, some nice tricky bits. good confidence boost! :-)

last hard training day for a bit, lots of travelling and racing coming up, exciting but tiring, so best not to go into it already tired.

Running - easy warm up/down 38:00 [1]
(injured) shoes: Adidas Supernova Glide (Dec 10

to and from the club hut and jogging between intervals

(injured)

Mårtens needles again. Went really well, lots of pain but i think the more pain th better with this kinda thing? :-)

Also having a think about what is going wrong with my orienteering. Mårten asked the 'are you more of a runner or a map-reader?' question and i didn't know what to answer with, tbh i don't feel especially good at either just now. The last time i orienteered well in a race was at Smålandskavlen, and that was when i was a bit tired and not running full speed. I can't remember the last time i was fit enough to run quickly and also orienteered cleanly. So i think that's the problem, it just needs some more time and race practice. Shame the JK is so close now, argh! i wish you could cram O-training the same way as exams...

Keeping off my feet after this morning. Hadn't planned intervals but feeling surprisingly fresh after the weekend! So 20x90s/30s.
