Aus MTBO Long Champs. Second, but about 9 minutes behind NZ Rob G.

1 OK caught Tony H who started 2 min ahead. 2 OK most of the way got away from Tony but bad route choice last 200m, probably lost nearly 1 min. 3 OK. 4 OK route but had a brain fade 3/4 way, partially up big steep hill then decided I'd taken the wrong branch at fork, went down and then decide I was right in the first place so back up hill, had to get off and walk some the second time, gps trace shows bit over 1 min. 5, 6 and 7 OK. Stopped at 7 for gel, drink and decide route choice to 8. 8, 9 and 10 OK. Rob G (4 min) passed me between 8 and 9, caught him again at 10. Messed up 11, couldn't see/find vague track on the route I decided, rode around to other major track to get from other side, easy spotted from main track on that side, lost 2:30 to Rob here. 12 OK though in wrong gear to get up steep start of track so bit of running. 13 OK though exhausted by this stage. 14 OK though starting to cramp along way. F OK though slow time.

Rob put another 5 minutes into me from 10 to F, 2:30 on route/execution to 11 and the rest ? not strong enough/fit enough?
