Felt quite ill last night sent went to bed well before 11 and asleep almost straight away!
Evil session tonight - Beechwood asymmetrical efforts - 2 sets:
1 - 400m, 40m climb
2 - 950m, 60m climb (but last 250m flat-tish)
3 - 700m, 60m climb
Proper hills, but did not find I was able to stay consistent. Times
1 - 1:56, 2 - 4:36, 3 - 3:10
1 - 2:03, 2 - 4:49, 3 - 3:17
Good training anyhow.
Ran out and back with a young guy called Brian whose parkrun times have been sitting around 25-26 mins but just got down into low 24s in last fortnight - went out at 22:30ish pace quite happily. Chased him down on the way back and timed him at 4 min/ks at one point(!) so stuck with him to push him to keep going at reasonable pace. Fairly confident he could knock a minute or two off fairly quickly now once it starts drying out again.
