So this little rescue dog that my step-son and new wife picked up at the pound has a TON of energy, but she's a puppy so I wasn't sure how long I should run with her. I decided a little 30-45 min jog would be good. Found out she had much more energy than that.

She is an amazing running dog and I wish I lived nearby, she could be my best friend!!!

What an awesome dog, she must be part collie!

We just arrived into Bigfork, Montana and I desperately needed to run!!

So, it was about 95 degrees and I decided to go out on this trail that borders the Swan River, unfortunately there's a lot of bears here so I had to be careful. Steve and Kodi joined me, they walked while I ran. I ran ahead and then came back to them and then ran ahead and kept this up for quite a while. I sped up as we went along.

What should have been a 5 mile run turned into a 7 mile run due to all the extra running I did. Had a great time and got what I needed out of it!

Unfortunately, I came home and noticed a little sore throat that would turn out to be a horrible sore throat and aches and a tough drive back to Seattle! Oh, well, got my run in!

Okay, just arrived to Coeur d'Alene! I love this little city. It was quite a surprise to see that Ironman was still going on when we checked into the hotel. So funny, I trained for three years on this course - both the bike and the run. I knew exactly where to go when I headed out on my run!

It was a perfectly beautiful day!
