Home to olave hill to upper sturt rd then down kaloola track to long gully. Back along valley to home. Legs still a bit tired from rogaine, so pace was sedate . Callum felt heat a bit today too. Very sore 2nd toe on left since saturday - looks red and swollen. Ow!

rogaine (Twilight 4 hour) 3:59:00 [3] 34.1 km (7:01 / km)

Twilight rogaine with jennycas , which she has written up in detail. Very handy in planning that Jenc was able to give accurate running times to various hills/ plains loops. Decided there was no option but 2 go up 2 times and also to leave brown hill . I felt puffed first 90 min or so - my shoes with best tread aren't a good fit and soles were sore and my torch kept thumping around my bum bag. However felt like we had good control flow and we made steady progress. After 90. Mins or so aided by lovely misty rain and psych benefit of smooth steady progress, plus an eye on intake, I started to feel good, and remained so for rest of time. Had a really nice time - fortunate we both knew area well, Jenny especially on hills Face tracks. lucky to have options on flat during last half hour. Pulled up well except for arm chaffing , not helped by not getting out of sweaty close until 11.30 pm as too busy listening to agm and chatting. Very Pleased to catch up with John w. Bonus to win out of big turnout!! Much aided by memory and quick map reading of Jenny.

Mini run too short of time to do more. Legs actually tired from o- so must've been trying a bit! Very sedentary day driving and meetings. Not my preferred type of day.

Long course at flinders uni sprint and bush o combined. Had trouble working out access between buildings so tried to simplify by going around a bit. Over simplified however as completely missed 14 and then due to clues folded over , and inattention to map, numbers 25 and 26!!

Rode from o to home with Lauren (on her way to somertown) with a bit extra in park. Again nice to be on bike.

Belair run plus run from home to start. Legs tired from trying to run harder in yesterdays sprint! Very humid. Up to tap via echo tunnel. Lovely evening with lots of roos out.

Left car at Mitcham to bike to Frome rd for yet another meeting. Bike a welcome change from car. Forgot bike shoes so had to ride in work shoes!

Up Olave Hill, over Upper Sturt rd into park, down long decent to volunteer centre, and back home via lake. Meant to do some tempo up hills but kept finding myself thinking about work etc! Bit shorter than usual for a Wednesday am, to have legs left for evening o. Was hot, so jumped into pool when home which was divine!

orienteering (sprint) 29:00 [3] 3.3 km (8:47 / km)

Last sprint series ( and only I got to) just over the road in Belair. The wild thunderstorm had eased when I started, just steady drizzle and big big puddles. It was so much fun! I had trouble reading the wet map at times. The short legs just required one look, I probably overlooked (given I know the area so well)on longer legs particularly from 21 to 22 - should've just worked back from the control, noted the location and not worry so much about detail on the way. Pleased with run but still beaten by Robin by over 2 minutes. Hard to read detail when under big trees as light was dim.

Quick loop before work with Callum from home up to top of Nookoo track then down to the valley ( with a marked temperature drop as I ran down) and back home. Lovely still morning.

With weights, which definitely increased the intensity. Back a bit sore-ish after which shows I haven't done any yoga for a while.

From home, park main entrance, up to nursery. John joined here on bike to help me keep up pace. Then did 5 min tempo spurt, then slowed to catch breath until I got to 4 way track intersection (Tilti track/QJD), then time self to top of hill (just past concrete tank - 4.53 - last time I did this it was 5.20 or 5.30, ran out of lungs before legs.) Then slowed for a bit then pushed for last 2 - 3 mins. 18 min 30 from nursery to tap, so have a bench mark now. Then ran across to redwoods, and up next ridge to Melville track, then back down valley to home. Callum was pretty tired for last section.

Robin set me a course after we returned from walking Leith and 3 others around their course. Was fun, good practice of direction and distance across slopes, which is what I usually struggle with. Will go back during week to see if I can wobble less when looking for the feature ( did a few meanderings within the circles).

Alfie's longest ride since we've had him and he did very well. Quite a big loop from Cherry Gardens down into Scott Creek then back up to top of Ackland Hill Rd via Tom Roberts horse trail /Mundoo Lane. Led him down steep bits.
