or that's what Tom Quayle told me. He said that he used to include two things in his training every week. One was a long run, the other were hill intervals, but he would find a hill with a slight incline. He said running up really steep hills doesn't help - everyone walks those anyway, but the gradual incline gets you used to running fast through undulating terrain.

Yeah, I have been reading a few articles in running mags (a bit scary I know) and they say pretty much the same thing. I must get myself a decent watch or HRM that I can actually read in the failing light (and with the failing eyes!)
