The only long day since I'm skipping the sunday race. Big dumb mistake on the first control, but otherwise navigation was pretty good. A lot fewer people on open-9 than have been on 8. I managed to wedge my ankle between some hidden rocks on the way down from the third control. This bothered me for the rest of the course, but seems to be only superficial. It was good to have a bit of extra padding at that moment from neoprene socks (which ironically I've been thinking of getting away from). Also slightly miraculous that I made it this far into the week before any significant damage to myself.
Finally scored some new o-shoes which I did not wear. Will need to break in gently.
