Have been feeling quite crappy the last few days, been fighting off the cold that has infected most of the household and not had the energy to do any training - waking up each morning with a razor blade sore throat and aching sinus cavities... but has not gotten much worse over the weekend so I hope I am winning!
Got out for a run with Kris today, we ran a portion of last week's x-league race and a bunch of trail running in between. Legs felt pretty good.

Morning at Scandinave thanks to Kris, massage day after the race was such a great idea!!! Was able to fit some stretching in there when not too busy in the steam room/sauna and then again when I got home.

Orienteering 3:13:00 [3]

Snowshoe Raid - after a last minute switch of partners due to injuries I ended up running in the Masters Coed division with Dana. Was not sure how race would go as I came down with a stomach but and first time I was able to hold onto any food was 7 pm Friday night. Tough race and tiring conditions. Race went well and we got to the point we had hoped, unfortunately legs were running on empty and was not able to make it back in quickly enough as with many other teams. However, we collected enough that even with the penalty we were able to hold onto first in our division. Was happy I was able to race, Friday morning I was doubting it! Another great event, always a favourite!

First TNT of the year with Hans, Isak, and DD. 6 Figure 8s then was chased up the hill by the speedy guys, held Isak off by a few paces at the top of the hil.... But just barely.

Time is a guesstimate- started off well but messed up in the second box, for my last control I chose b over c and regretted it! Map seemed rather inaccurate in the area and I spent a lot of time on the parallel green patch, determined not to give up I did a lot of reorienting and refocusing! Rest of the race went well.

Went for a hike/jog with Sergei in Orford Provincial park, trails were groomed with fresh powder, crisp and sunny. Beautiful morning.

Decided to get out for a run before it got messy but was too late, rained the whole way making for slick conditions on the way back. Ran from the house in Magog down to a boardwalk trail out and back, very pretty but had to take it slower once back on the sidewalks.
