Note

The reshuffle of my training week has been a great move I think. Normally by friday my energy levels are getting low - this week despite a big run in the weekend, I feel good. Admitadly I have had a few extra days off in the last week but a 70km week is feeling like an easy week today!

Joined in the AOTC sprint training for the lols. Run it a little faster than easy but pretty chill still

Running intervals (First session w new coach) 21:55 [4] 5.5 km (3:59 / km) +125m 3:35 / km

1min, 45sec, 30s, 15s with equal recoveries fartlek type session around the track area. A little apprehensive about the training, probably a tad shorter than this session should be (probably should have been 25mins or had shorter rests maybe) but I ran it harder to compensate. Running on mixed surfaces which was good.

Warm up was a little pathetic which raised a few eyebrows from me. Made sure to do a proper warm down and then did an extra 5 mins after gym. When I ramp up to 100km weeks next month I might have to warm up/down by myself

5:45,5:42,5:39,5:36 with 1:45 rests (target 5:44). Nice to be able to run below target fairly comfortably, good start to the next training block.

Some fun with Matt doing the latic turkey rogaine in Riverhead. Some controls were.. interesting trying to find (possibly not in the right place..), and with slightly cryptic/very vague clues. Some bush bashing and some mystery activity thrown in there, was a long day especially without gels or water, we were feeling it from 2hours on. Pace was good, we pushed out the hills a bit. Managed to win overall despite not completed most of the (highly overvalued) activities!

Did a 12x400 80,75,70,70 session. Was meant to be 85,80,75,70 but I screwed up and cut it short after no9 as with the short rests it was tough. 45sec-1min between rep, 2min between sets. 81,74,69,69,80,73,67,70,79
