Travel day to Montreal - working the Festival Plein Air in Montreal on the weekend...so took the opportunity to do a bit of running with the crew from Magog.
Last fall I got my ass whooped at the XTRAIL Race in Mt Orford, particularly on the Sentier des Cretes, a super technical ridge run/rock stair that gains almost 1000m of gain. So I've wanted to come back and 'practice' running on it every since - and today I did! Warmed up for 30min, then sped up the main grind for 30min at threshold, trying to run all the way, with no walking. Then cruised for the remaining section until we popped out on the ski run. We avoided climbing the last 500m grunt straight up the blue run to the summit - didn't need the push the achilles more than I already had today!
