warm up/down 10:00 [1]
shoes: bright pink

Not enough but felt OK with what I did. Ran into Ms powA taking in her first parkrun. Good time for her. Instructions from powA were well shy of the mark!!!!

Park Run (Callaghan - ext) 38:55 [4] 5.0 km (7:47 / km)
shoes: bright pink

I knew there wasn't enough warmup and didn't do the track hill either. Very humid and sun biting. Not sure this will end well... and it didn't.

Start-steps Rainforest walk -11:31 Back to the 'old' section of course due to demolition works. Walked some, but was devastated at time. Nice patch running with a newcommer to Callaghan.

Steps - cone 7:25 (18:57) Stared at the track and found that easy to keep going. Knew that this was slower, but not that much actually. Again ran about 1/3 engineering hill, but not quite all of the track beforehand. Managed to swallow a mossie - and stopped for a hack for about 15 sec.

Cone - steps Rainforest Walk 7:23 (26:20) Just keeping an eye on people around me and trying to use them.

Steps - Finish - 12:41 (38:58) Bitterly disappointed with time, again. Inconsistent exercise opportunities taking their toll. Hope to get back on track next week once hospital routine settles in.
Lovely chat afterwards with Elaine, Emma and Ken.

gym class (Body Pump) 1:00:00 [3]

Not very interested today supported by my daydreaming in a couple of the tracks. Good part was no hint of shoulder pain and could do overheads.

Park Run (Blackbutt) 41:08 [5] 5.0 km (8:14 / km)
shoes: bright pink

Another Callaghan refugee parkrun - and another new venue.
Lots of five30 runners. Still overcast and a few mossies.
A very hilly course and with no km markers I was very much in the dark except for the long hills - I knew where they were. Walked some of all the hills; ran most of the flat and all of the downhill - which wasn't in keeping with the planned "walk only day".
26:10 at the final turn around so I was a bit disappointed with the time after that - but 1/3 was a steady climb so can't expect much different.
Happy to talk to Robyn, Peter and a couple of other parkrunners from various other places (including one who was a marshall at Blue Gum yesterday and who recognised me)
Decided I had earned my scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast after all that. The rest of the day will be devoted to 12 Apostles jigsaw and hopefully a swim.
Happy New Year to all.
