I also agree with Bob Forer 100%. You have a very interesting job both in terms of the problems studied and of the politics you have to deal with. Maybe not always fun, but interesting none the less. And you get to ride in garbage trucks and police cars!

Perhaps you would accept a pay cut. If you made less than $460K per year, they'd be making money off you.

I looked at the trash system costs before and after my audit work. Costs dropped by about $850,000 - $900,000 a year. That's an ongoing savings. That more than pays for my position.
