decided to use another of my gym sessions - no 9 0f 10...only taken me about 3 years. Shoulders and core really weak.

Managed to get myself out but somehow missed connecting with the Women with Altitude group, although I did their course initially.
Home - up Montacute, past Marble Hill, down Pound rd (must get disc brakes 16% down killed my arthritic fingers), up Blocker Rd to dirt and return (1km+ @ 7%), then Up Burdetts (2km+ mostly @9 but some @12%= 10mins). Across Up Range rd to Greenhill rd. Diverted off up deviation rd to the top and back again to Greenhill rd.
Down to the flat in Balhannah direction then across to Verdun, then on main rd back towards Balhannah. & Ambleside rd to Hahndorf.
River rd to Mylor where I met a friend - had scrambled eggs at Harvest Café. 55kms to here.
Up Aldgate Valley (5k =18mins)....Stirling - Piccadily - Uraidla - Summertown - Woods Hill rd across to Marble Hill rd - down Norton Summit - Rostrevor - home.
Fantastic weather and it was so nice in the hills. Little stalls selling all types of fruit, even kids selling lemonade, also many types of poo (manure) for sale incl alpaca.
many riders out and incl about 40 in Little Italy alone (burdetts & pound rd) Only other females were 2 near bottom of Norton Summit and would have seen 100+ guys. Rode with some up Deviation rd and along River rd.

Walking around Lobethal Rec Grounds field working O map. Was out there for over 90 mins but stopped a lot.

After bike ed work I met my friend Nic, who lives in Burnside at BaseCamp café. At the school I was teaching Florence, one of the younger children of Krista Barnett, whom I taught in the 1980's and was a some-time orienteer.
Up Waterfall Gully rd past Chambers Gully and turned off on right to climb PWT. Such a lovely day my o frustrations were temporarily forgotten. Nic found she had a sore neck at the top so returned home from there.
I continued the planned route up past Golf course to the Crafers biketrack and up to Crafers. Then into Cleland using mostly bike legit tracks - incl one lovely newish single tk. Up to old mansion ruins near Mt lofty and found that 1 of the ruins is partially restored ...I thought this looked likely about a yr ago. Past YHA and down Chambers Gully back to Burnside.
Time a guess as on old Giant 26er with no computer. Also had a nice blackberry break en route.

My 2018 resolution is to have nothing to do with any any orienteering in SA.

Bit desperate to log this..
Walking to and from comedy shows ..distance greater as I didn't know how to navigate around the silly O-Bahn extension works.
Saw 2 comedy shows - one was great (amy Hetherington) and the other (Alice Fraser) so so...more of a tri-hard.
At the computer for over 14 hours today.
Everything I did created 2 more things to do ..
