white rose classic.

good tough course. technically relatively good apart from struggled to see where 9 was on the map so made a sub optimal route choice. caught JT half way round so had a good duel with him for a bit. got away at 23 but had trouble getting off the slope through the grass and nettles.

not too bad off basically the first start. really struggling physically after the first half... not used to such repetitive high intensity running. ...

knee quite sore afterwards and in afternoon but some of this was due to stingers!

WR middle distance.

faff with the start time so ended up starting 1 min in front of zach field so put the boot in to try and stop him latching on. no big errors just a few wobbles in the pits which were hard to navigate accurately to where there was often a dearth of features.
well planned.

WR sprint.

forest sprint this year. great fun in a lush bit of forest (really!). really slow and cautious to #1 as it took me a while to get round the scale/map but after that sped up a bit. legs really feeling it from half way.

shin was a bit sore in afternoon following the middle distance but no problems getting round this.

WR night score. great fun as always.

spiked a tricky number 1 then was really hard to get a good route round the central section. had Jamie for company initially and we had a good battle against the ny forests...y headtorche was cleanly taken off at one point... I did undertake Jamie crawling through the terrain at one point. after that Jamie sped off and I took a different route.

a few dumb mistakes but good to get a great burn up. felt a bit slow on the paths.

2nd I think. behind Jamie but ahead of Rigby junior.

I thought I displayed great skills with my timing but the si seemed to be 30 seconds off so was penalised.

last run round craigforth (for a while at least). felt suprisingly emotional once I'd walked out the office for the last time, it's been a great 20 months but I'm pretty sure I've made the right decision work-wise. took lots of nice photos.

felt a bit tired and shin not great.

took Fernando out to Ben Ledi for a good hilly run as he's never been out in the hills proper. despite the pre warning from his wife not to destroy him I did kind of do exactly that.... kind of took it for granted how much we think running up hills is good fun.

felt relatively good.
