Trail Run long (Long hilly) 3:06:00 [4] 14.5 mi (12:50 / mi)

In the beginning I was just not interested in running a long run today. I started slow and stopped for several trivial problems. Once I got going, I felt ok but couldn’t get my stride lengthened out and I just shuffled. At about 45 minutes, things started to click and kept getting better throughout. This was 2 laps and I was 3 minutes faster on the 2nd loop than I was on the 1st. And since I was late getting started the last 30 minutes were at about 90 degrees.
In the first loop, I did 5 hill sprints to make up for not doing that run.
After I got home, I did a 10 min swim but my tether broke again and I quit. Stretching my right arm was tight due to the rib but definitely better.

Concrete/road run (Recovery) 50:00 [3] 4.5 mi (11:07 / mi)

This was half concrete and half trail. Same trail as before but it went much better. The air is still horrible. It should start to clear tomorrow just in time to leave.

Concrete/road run (Hike/easy) 45:00 [3] 3.25 mi (13:51 / mi)

This was just horrible. I couldn’t breathe from the smoke, I was hot, exhausted from travel and I brought my brother’s 4 mo berniedoodle who wanted to play.
I don’t know what your air quality is like but Grangeville was so bad on Wednesday that visibility was at .5 miles. It is a bit better in Boise at 2 miles. I guess normal is 15 or so miles. I walked as much as I ran.

Mountain bike ride (Easy ride) 2:00:00 [3]

This was a pretty easy ride w my niece and brother. I decided to leave my bike there and hopefully get back there to ride and maybe even do the 50 m ride next year.
