ahr:111 max:170

French Creek hiking with Mary and Stan. Did their Mill Creek Loop and tacked on Lenape trail to/fro Shed Rd down to the pavillion at the bottom of the hill. Verified terrain and looked for O landmarks. :-) Most of the woods there are pretty nondistinct.

Weights 45:00 [3]

Back in the gym today. I fear tomorrow, for all of the 'new years resolution' crowd will be there getting in the way. Best way to combat that is to arrive early.

Back in the gym.

ahr:130 max:167 rhr:60 weight:185lbs

Hiked all the 'official' trails of the South Mountain Preserve in Emmaus, PA along with trying out the heart rate monitor of the Garmin. On average, when walking my hr is about 110-120 at a leisurely pace, 130 or so when I try to push 4 mph (in the snow) and actually 160 when I go uphill in the snow. This is a great place to hike and get a workout for those so inclined. You start at the valley floor (400 ft) and get up to 1040 or so in chunks. 1066 kcal says the Garmin.

Hiking warm up/down 1:10:38 [2] 3.76 mi (18:47 / mi) +71m 17:45 / mi

Trail walking the Pool Wildlife Sanctuary in Emmaus, PA to gather GPS data for the OSM. We had 4 inches of snow on the ground - amazing how that can slow you down.
