Map Reading 20:00 [0]

JWOC Training maps- middle and sprint, some interesting route choices with runnability of terrain playing a big part as well. Read all the other info from e-mail and revisited those embargoed area maps, some serious hill training needs to be done!

Cycling (indoor) 1:00:00 [3]

Indoor cycling again - 3x20 min sets with 5 mins in between, increased the resistance from yesterday and tried to push a bit harder because of the breaks in between. Found it difficult to sustain a good pace though!

Cycling (indoor) 45:00 [3]

No way of knowing how far the cycle was on the trainer I have - gotta say 45 minutes seems a lot longer with indoor training than it does when outdoors!

Core 10:00 [1]

Planks, squats, calf raises, Russian twists and crunches. A combination of Tabata timer or just 1 minute of the exercise.

Running warm up/down 25:00 [1]

Orienteering 45:00 [3] 6.2 km (7:15 / km)

Line-O with Emma and Mike - really fun and good training for reading the map/ staying on the line while running. I kept a pretty consistent pace but was definitely feeling it near the end after all the Christmas food! My shoulders were a little tight afterwards so I need to focus on keeping them relaxed while running I suppose.

Orienteering 14:30 [3] 1.86 km (7:48 / km)

O-tervals on the golf course with some walking rest in between... I was working hard and thought that my pace must have been better than before but it definitely wasn't... so I was definitely tired at that point!
