Easy effort trail run at carnfunnock. Cracking day (but means loads of people in the forest). Strides completed. Felt good.

Easy running with club. I was on the helpers rota, which suited whilst taking it easy. Went well, feel improvement in hip flexor. Just stopped at 40 mins, not to push it too much.

Legs felt a bit more tired tonight. Left hip flexor was a bit tight and niggly. Improved a bit as the run went on. Stretched well half through and afterwards.

Ben Nevis Ultra - I felt I ran well on the good terrain. Slower in the bogs and on the technical ridge. Felt strong most of the time.

I was looking forward to this one, given that the week was easy. Undulating road run and felt great. On a gradual downhill sub 6 mins felt relaxed. Always had a few gears left.

Bit tired to start, so took it easy. Improved for a few miles and then tired again. Food/gels helped. Conditions were awful, soaked from the started. Thighs tired at the end. Glad to finish!

Glenariff Forest Park. Fantastic morning and a pleasure to be on the trails. Kept pace relaxed and didn't really check my watch, just based on how I felt. All runnable hills.
