Running (road+path) (Progression Run) 1:30:44 [4] 22.84 km (3:58 / km) +139m 3:51 / km

Pre-brekky.
So I didn't realise my watch changes the time itself, so I lost 2hours sleep instead of 1 - I didn't realise this until I got back though... I thought the canal was less busy than usual!

Ok run overall, just felt tired and a bit dead all the way. Not quite a proper progressive run either. Going out along WoL, the general 'uphill' grade felt too hard, and just couldn't really get my legs moving well. I thought it would change after turning around and heading back, but I didn't really get into a smooth 'on top of the pace' rhythm at all. No stiffness in calf.

Pre-brekky Summer Scenes.
Awesome day, summer has arrived. Nice and easy with Davo. I was pretty thirsty after about 10mins. Nothing from the calf which was good! Integrated 5 strides towards the end.

Running (mostly off-road) (Fartlek) 1:15:34 [4] 19.64 km (3:51 / km) +37m 3:49 / km

20' WU ; 15x1'(1' roll on) ; 24' WD

Been sitting in front of a computer for two days straight with not much sleep and more coffees than I'd like to admit... so was buzzing as soon as I left the door into the summer-like evening in my shorts and t-shirt.

I had to split the session in half basically (7x1' then 8x1') with a short break for stomach reasons (all dat caffeine...). Felt really good tonight though with fresh legs from not running as much this week I suppose, and felt quite smooth. Calf only tightened up slightly at the end. This is why I did the full 15x1' instead of the planned 10. Should have pushed the 1' ons harder (it did eventually pick up up towards the end of the session), but the recoveries were a good moderate pace. Felt like I transitioned smoothly. I didn't actually feel like I was properly breathing much at all until around the 11th rep. Enjoyable session and a great evening on the Meadows.

Calf good, although it got slightly tighter towards the end. Did some strides near the end too.

Note
(rest day)

Note

Good massage today, with the conclusion that the calf is just tweaked, and not a small tear as I was expecting. It felt a lot better after.

Note

Went out for the run today, but although the calf felt a lot better at the start, it got tighter and more annoying, so cut the run short. It has the feeling of a small pull. Not sure about doing the session tomorrow.
11 AM

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 39:42 [2] 8.7 km (4:34 / km) +65m 4:24 / km

Calf got tighter as the run progressed and it was affecting my stride. Cut the run short. Annoying.

Pre-brekky.
Felt a lot better than I was expecting after yesterday's run. Legs weren't really heavy at all. Lateral left soleus got tighter as the run went on though, so decided to cut it short to be safe. This was the new added run than usual this week anyway. Did a few stride surges to test the leg and it seemed to cope fine with it.
