Troll cup at Mt Tom, Day 2, Green Y

Decent run, although not a whole lot of running given the rocky, wet ground and my desire not to make a big mistake like yesterday. Lost a minute going to 3, ended up in the green with the creek, hesitated and then went to control. Lost a minute going to 10, ran the trail and then up over the big hill. Thought I would see the stone wall but it was small so ended up going too far down the hill to it and then had to come back up to the hill where it ends. Lost about a minute to 12, started looking for it too soon along the flatter part of the hillside, thinking the thicker woods was the green.

Would have been fine if it weren't for 8 and 9. Completely lost contact to 8, losing over 15 minutes and then another 10 or so to 9.

Green course at Session Woods. Same course used for the A meet some years ago, which I didn't run although I may have hung or picked up a few of the controls. Lost a minute or two going to 9, went to the hill just to the west of our hill. Picked my way slowly through the nasty area in the south but not other real problems.

garmin says 6.95 k--I took trail options whenever possible except going to 9, which I probably should have done as well.

Joe's DuO at Huntington, run all on foot as score-O. Lost a few minutes at 14, thought I had come further around the swamp so went up an earlier hill.

Tried the one contact again and it worked pretty well. Makes my distance vision a bit blurry but not bad enough to have trouble seeing where my feet are landing.

Hudson Highlander 13, Hogencamp mtn map and Polebrook; 1993 men's classic race and then a trail run and 7 k course on Polebrook added on.

Happy that I could complete the race given that I'm not in long distance shape. Garmin says 19 miles
