Peak Zone 52:00 [3]

Tabata. Left shoulder was wonkier than usual. Sigh, so many body parts with some sort of problem.

Mpa&b 2xsupercore cross sym and stuff.

Monday Dec 13, 2021 #

XC Sking 2:56:00 [3] 37.0 km (4:45 / km)
shoes: V2 Aero XL - ver2

Fort Worth Nordic Center with Pat. 34 when we started, 55 when we finished, overall quite nice. Slow. Feel fine cruising but there was not much in my legs while climbing. Calf was fine for the first hour, tight but not grabby for the rest. I was careful not to over engage it when pushing off. Tight after but it will be ok. After lunch I put in 2 hours on the couch.

Lift 32:00 [3]

Before ride: MPA&B, 1 x supercore, cross sym

Bike 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Bianchi

The optimal activity of the day w/o any qualifications would have been O at Clements Scout Ranch. However, I got up, jogged around, and didn't think that would be a good idea for my calf. The second choice activity would have been a row, but the wind from the N was too much. Fourth choice would have been rski but I'm doing a bunch of that tomorrow. So I went with the third choice, an easy ride. However, it was still gray, windy and cool when I went out in the morning and so a lot of bundling up was needed. Nice enough ride just the same.

Lift 30:00 [3]

Cable-pull machine at SMU.

Note

Watched the Nordic Combined skiers race 5km in Ruku, Finland. Way back when Joe Sackett, Soupbone and I ran the World Masters Champs in Roku/Kuusoma; that was a great trip. The stretchy bibs hang loose on most of the NC skiers. These dudes need to eat more sandwiches. I need to eat less cookies.
