Running 33:00 [3] 3.6 mi (9:10 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 25

Running around Beebe Lake and Triphammer Falls! We spent the day visiting with Natalie's family at a corn maze and pumpkin patch and then stopped at Filmore Glen on our way home for a really short hike, but I wanted a bit more exercise, so I headed out for an easy-peasy run. Sam and Presto were tired and stayed snuggled on the couch :-). Good to enjoy as much sunlight as I can while it's still light in the evenings at least a little bit!

Running 55:00 [3] 6.5 mi (8:28 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 25

Running with Margaret, Scott, Jennifer, and Bella(?) (sort of)! Another lunch run with people in the building! The group has basically been running just at the edge of my speed range on previous runs, which has been a challenge, but doable. Jennifer and Bella (I think that's her name?) are grad students who both ran competitively in college and are training for some sort of cross-country race season right now and basically had a speed they were planning on running and it was a speed that I cannot sustain for 6 miles. Jennifer and Bella were running away from the group right from the start. Margaret and Scott are both significantly faster than I am, and once the group got back together again at a road, the whole group sped up to Jennifer and Bella's pace. I ran for about a mile at this pace and while that was possible, I did not see myself making it all the way around the loop at this pace, and I started falling off the back of the group. I proceeded to get further and further behind for the next couple of miles before everyone waited for me prior to getting on some more technical trails through Monkey Run. Yay technical trails! I could actually keep up with everyone here, but once we left the technical trails, the group split into the grad students up front, then Margaret and Scott falling behind them, and then me falling behind them. The roads were twistier here, so I didn't really see where people were going and I ended up running a mile or so longer than anyone else (oops), but it was really one of the nicest miles of the run, so it was all good. Good to get out on what may be our last sunny and warm day of fall!

Stretching 10:00 [3]

A little bit of stretching with Margaret and Jennifer right after the run and then normal stretching after I got home from lab.

Running 35:00 [3] 3.6 mi (9:43 / mi)

Running with Sam and Presto after lab! I am attending a virtual conference that is being based in another timezone this week, and it is exhausting. I think my talk went well, but it's so hard to tell when you are giving talks over zoom. Anyway, it was good to get out for a run. I sort of miscalculated and wore long sleeves tonight, which was unnecessary, but not a terrible idea. Presto was happy to be out as a pack, but I think he would have preferred running slightly earlier in the evening. Good to get out!

Running 1:00:00 [3] 6.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Running 25

Running with Sam and Presto on the Finger Lakes Trail! We started from the top of Treman State Park and took the Finger Lakes Trail west. This was probably not the best choice because there were a lot of plants hanging over the trail and some of them were poison ivy. Eep! We eventually gave up and turned around. To make up for this we ran all the way to the bottom of Lucifer Falls and then back up the Gorge trail. So much fun!!

Stretching 10:00 [3]

Normal stretching after some frantic Technu-ing.
