Note

I heard an interesting "theory" this past weekend about those who suffer from nausea and vomiting during ultra runs. It goes along the lines of occurring when the body goes from burning the fuel that you have fed on that day to when you cross over to start burning fat storage. The stomach may still be trying to burn fuel from the daily intake of food even when the stomach is empty and the body already has switched to burning fat. And if you eat again, it may be a while until the body start using that as fuel again as it just flipped to burning fat storage and need time to flip back. Anyway, who knows the validity of this. I just picked up on this thought while having conversations with some ultra running friends who did the 50km Rundle's Revenge this past weekend.
