Guess as to distance, as the Garmin battery gave up shortly after I began the run. Reed & Rt 85 north a bit, then jumped down onto the rail trail behind the BK, south almost to the Marlboro terminus, and back.
Went to the Hudson Public Library to hear Craig John speak. Mountaineer, expedition leader, etc. His slide show was quite impressive. He had used the North Face route of Everest a couple of times, summitting in 1998. He demurred when I asked him how high he thought Mallory and Irvine reached, but he was more confident of his position that they had not climbed the Second Step. (where the Chinese attached an aluminum ladder.)
Jogging/walking w/ R at Worcester State track. I said I'd been kicked off this track the last time I tried to use it, but they tolerated us, even though a soccer practice was going on.

Long run with the gang. They did the loop; I ran to the bank where I'd dropped my car. I was pleased that I was able to keep up with them and not get dropped like a sweaty boat anchor. Maybe it was they were running more slowly; maybe it was that it was cooler than it's been the few times I ran long this summer.
