Adventure Race 8:22:00 [3]
S2S Day 2. The grunt up the ski hill warmed me up. Rained all day making the trails a slippery mess. Water on Georgian Bay was choppy on the way back and in the opinion of many racers was slightly dangerous...considering a canoe dumped and it took 20min to get help shows the shotty organization of the officials! Otherwise experienced mechanical meltdown on my bike (which continued for 3/25 of the race!) on the trails and another misplaced CP in the 2nd "orienteering" section caused some additional pain in the ass. Overall considering the peeves that i had about the race and mechanical problems, i felt good and was pleased with the performance. Not sure how we ranked but didn't really care...was out to have fun this time around.

Adventure Race 8:44:00 [3]
S2S in Collingwood Day 1. Tough competition out there in the mens divison. Did well on the paddle considering a misplaced CP, and cleaned up the first bike section. The "orienteering" section was a bit ridculous i.e. 3 CPs at far away distances and really stupid placement of them. I was a bit off on one of them (map was shit!) that cost some time but was more pissed off at the length of the section...probably ran about 20km, a little overkill in my opinion for a sprint race.

Wednesday Aug 25

Paddling 1:15:00 [2]
Practice paddle with McCormack for S2S. Cootes Paradise.
Orienteering 1:00:00 [2]
Low intensity orienteering at Crooks Hallow. Really dense and slow moving. Took it easy because of that.

Monday Aug 23

Running 45:00 [4]
DV mineral springs area. Was only going to run a easy pace (2) but felt awesome. Hammered up the hills really well today. Martin Rd hill and Grants Grunt were no match for me today :)

Sunday Aug 22

Cycling 4:30:00 [3]
Hardwood Hills with my team. Fun courses in the woods, lots of hard climbs (for me anyway) but felt pretty good concidering the time off over the last month. Intensity 3-5 but overall a 3 with stops and such. But i'm pooched and will feel it tomorrow.

Saturday Aug 21

Cycling 2:30:00 [2]
Biking with the Hammer. Dundas valley trails. Good variety of hills and trails, warmed up and cool down = 1hr. Approximately 40km put in from odometer.

Tuesday Aug 17

Cycling 30:00 [2]
Slow commute to work. Too the long way and avoid the stairs down.
Cycling 30:00 [3]
Took the same route back, all uphill, cranked it up a notch. Felt good although i know i'll feel it tomorrow.

Monday Aug 16

Cycling 20:00 [3]
Commute to work. Trying to get the legs going again. Feeling alright so far, see how the ride home fairs.
Cycling 30:00 [3]
Commute home with stairs. Ouch, that was a bit painful. Freaking hills killed my legs.
