Ambushed late in the afternoon by meetings. Which cost me TnT. Did it in the valley with Trix and salvaged the day. Can't run as hard on my own. Highest heart rate was 161. That was below my average heart rate for Dances with Dirt. Weird.

Big test for the calf. Donnie put a lot of shockwave energy into the belly of the muscle yesterday and that seems to have done it. Four times Artiban. Still feel it, but only an echo of what I was up against last week. Lost the Burlington 10k, but there's always the Road to Hope.

Went out to farmers field for the first time in months. Calf no worse than yesterday even with some bursty bits and some hills. It's definitely moved from the Achilles tendon into the meat of the muscle.

Progress on the Achilles after Donny unleashed the Dolorclast machine at it. A machine called a dolorclast just HAS to work. But still. Prudence dictates that I give tissue and sinew that has been dolorclasted a chance to rest. So onto the bike! Was gonna go outside, but then got super lazy and went up to the indoor trainer and knocked off 8 four minute tabata intervals.

tempo run. After the flame out yesterday, I headed out with a bit more speed to see if I had completely lost my ability to run. Felt better, but not 100%

Actual time was 2:06, but I'm subtracting 6 minutes because of the recovery walking I had to do. Just couldn't settle in to the pace today. Breathing was hard with the humidity, but something else was going on that made the run with Hammer, Sudden, Tarno and Al Maggedon much tougher than it should have been. Excellent company, though.
