Onion to Sioux River plus Back 40

Started by switching batteries and SD cards in trail cams, then headed for the Sioux. The fall storms did a number on the brush and tree screen between lake and wetland. many more trees down, evidence of breaches. A tall pine has half of its roots exposed, wouldn't be surprised if it's gone before the winter even starts. Light snow during the entire hike, water temp in Onion 1.8 °C, in lake (away from any inlet) 4 °C and air temp -6 °C. Dogs had a good time sniffing and exploring.
