Orienteering race 42:42 [4] 5.0 mi (8:32 / mi)
(injured)

YHOA Champs, Pillar Woods. Short Brown; 8.2km, 105m.
Good high speed workout. Navigation very simple, but very small mistakes could be decisive. Just pipped Martin W because I lost fewer seconds than he did.
Foot was still a little sore, but in a slightly different place to usual; still outside edge, but further forward towards the toes. Not too bad though.

Trail running 10:00 [2] 1.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
(injured)

Unusually I decided a decent warm down was required because I'd been running so quickly.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Foot still not right. Extra rest day.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Foot a bit worse this morning. Was planning a rest day anyway. Will have tomorrow off too if necessary.

Trail running 1:10:00 [3] 9.0 mi (7:47 / mi)
(injured)

South from Kendal following the river to Levens Bridge. Back through Levens Park and along the old canal. Foot a little sore, except on the really soft bits, but probably to be expected as this is the longest run I've done for ages. Rest day earned tomorrow.

Cycling 2:00:00 [2] 27.0 mi (4:27 / mi)
(injured)

Usual ride from Kendal (last done 1/2). Brigsteer, Storth, Beetham and back along National Cycle Route 6. Foot OK.

Orienteering 1:04:00 [3] 6.0 mi (10:40 / mi)
(injured)

Marsden Moor with a map, starting from Standedge. Took the map more to get me into the terrain than to practice navigation, but followed much of the M21L course from the last event I did there (2007). The peat cloughs on the top of the area are pretty good orienteering.
Foot fine on the nice soft terrain.

Cycling 1:50:00 [2] 22.0 mi (5:00 / mi)
(injured)

Foot not feeling too bad this morning so did the bike ride I should have done on Friday. Up around Hades, along the top to Cumberworth, round through Shelley to Kirkburton and back over Thurstonland.
