Running warm up/down 5:00 [2]

Jog to the start.

Orienteering 56:06 [4]
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talons 212 (3)

Dorset Delight.
Just kept a steady pace, nothing that required too much effort. Could feel yesterday in the terrain and the hills. Pretty simple orienteering and generally pretty good, but made quite a big mistake on one of them.

Running race 39:43 [5]
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talons 212 (3)

Hampshire League XC, Farley Mount.
4 laps which had a longish hill in it.
Got massively boxed in at the start, but tried to keep a sensible pace. However during the second lap I died and started moving backwards. Very disappointing and judging where people from training finished I should have been at least a minute quicker.

With Dane around the last part of the loop.

Running hills 12:30 [5]
shoes: Inov-8 Road-X 255

Twelve and a half minutes of sprinting up a hill then jog back down. Found it tough going but was closest to Mo's group I've ever been so can't have been too bad. Awesome weather with a fair few random bolts of lightning.

Note

Still analysing JEC. Easy to identify time losses and why but hard to work out how to improve.

Running 1:07:48 [3]
slept:8.0 shoes: Inov-8 Trailroc 255

Easy run from fritham, basically ran north for a while then turned round and ran south. Some good terrain to begin with. Found some nice forest which I've never been to before but have no idea where I was. Felt alright, need to get some more endurance.

Running 20:38 [2]

Still feeling rough so no SAC. Instead an easy jog with stretches and a couple of strides in the middle.

(rest day)

Quick JEC summary:

Very disappointed with my performances in Belgium, made a right mess of all three days. However there were a few legs which were encouraging and it was a great experience to be at competition with some of the best juniors in the world.

A lot to improve on, struggling to work out how though.

Today felt knackered which was expected, less expected was feeling a bit ill all day. Had planned on an easy jog but had completely ran out of energy. Will decide on whether to go to Southampon tomorrow, want to but not sure.
