A training run worthy of the original TNT crew, 4:30 on w 1:30 recovery times 5. The loop was my newly created figure 8 around Riverdale so that you get a hill climb at the start and midway and finish with a long flat straight.

Note

Unplanned rest day. Was supposed to go to the gym this morning, but turns out I didn't set me alarm. When I finally awoke it was too late to get to the gym and to still be at work on time.

Looks like this weekend is also going to be a light one after I just wrecked my front shock trying to fit my bike into the underground garage while still attached to the top of my car. OUCH. Oh well, it's the older bike and it could have been a lot worse.

Rally loop, 10 seconds slower then last time, don't know if this is due to the bike ride in the morning, the RAID on Sunday or just overall slowness. We'll see with a few more of these if I can show some improvement.

Orienteering race 3:43:00 [4]

Raid the Hammer with The Big Dyck and Audrey. We'll have to have a race one day between those to to see who runs faster. Race went really well for us, no major nav errors the whole way. By about checkpoint 16 I was feeling pretty tired, just tried to run when I could into the finish while trying not to loose site of Bender and his team. Out of 18 we probably should have crossed the valley into the field, but we decided to try and stay high, that's when the youngsters ran by us like we were standing still. 3rd co-ed and 6th overall in the end and really happy about that.

Was up in North Bay this weekend visiting a friend. Headed out Saturday afternoon to the Nordic Ski Centre for a trail run. The long loop was 18k, but I ended up adding an extra hill climb when I took a wrong turn. Good run overall.
