well.....My good knee was hurting pretty good after a cortisone shot gave me some relief I had MRI that uncovered a torn meniscus in my left knee (no surprise) so I am scheduled to have knee surgery thursday......and wouldnt you know it the pain subsided and doesn't even hurt now....but, since the torn piece has flipped into the interior of the knee structure I figured I might as well get it taken care of since it could possible re position itself and cause pain to occur...and we have a big hiking trip to Austria/Italy starting July 1st.....so I am going to have it.....
This will mess up my plan to do some solid training for triathlons from now until July 1st with the plan to come off vacation 2.5 weeks later ready to compete well....now I will just recover as fast as I can, enjoy the hiking vacation with a fixed knee and just do the July triathlon I have signed up for as best I can with very limited prep.....
I also have another triathlon the first week in August and will sign up for one or two later in August and perhaps early Sept......this is certainly not ideal but I will get it out of the way...
