Another beautiful day so kicked off the day with three hours of splitting and stacking a bunch of pine for the outdoor fire pit. count 25%. Wrist sore again.

Today was supposed to be my Jukola debut. Oh well it was fun following the 1995 Jukola re-run instead. Great final three legs from the HS boys starting with Anton. Down about 25 minutes and pulled within 2 minutes for 2nd.

I haven’t done enough running to be Jukola ready so I need to get more into the training schedule over the next year. At least the O here in Nobel is Finland relevant.

Maybe I should hire a mapper and get some of the nice open rock terrain mapped to help prepare. Mapper suggestions?

First ride of the year on the trails around the GN burrow. Legs were feeling yesterday's day of lumberjack fun and I made AG! hear that complaint over and over and over again. As much as I prefer my Epic on double track and flowing single track I found the single track a lot more difficult than last year on the 29'r. Fortunately after 6 weeks waiting for a spare part the bike is ready for pick up tmrw. The single track MTBing in Nobel is really tiring. Need to get the cross bikes up here to do some gentler gravel riding.
