pfc: After the sprint through the highly developed areas at Hyland, I wanted to do this one on more natural surfaces. It was a bit long, but that was expected. 17:14 was the winning time.

So who's going to set the next one? Members Only, perhaps, or a couple of summer events? I do plan to have one at Telemark - that'll be after the SS finale in September, though.

iriharding: Pete,

I am thinking that we will have 2 sprints at L Elmo members only meet ( format : 45 min score O, then a long and a short sprint on offer, then swimming at the beach ) (Darryn K may set). I'll do one as part of summer series . Maybe JJ will do one? (that would make 4 more for a total of 6)

What date is end of sprint series (i.e. last date for us to have a sprint ?) ?

Ian

Jerritt: I'll set a sprint. Summer is probably better for me than at member's only. I am totally bummed I missed yesterday's. Who took the win on the men's side?

pfc: Justin with 17:14, Ian at 18:09, Scooter a little over 20, Carl and Darryn near 22. I'll try to get the results and RG up tonight.

Sprint finals are at the WCOC A-meet on Sept 22nd. I don't mind setting another later this year. I get points from the A-meet sprints I attend as well, so I'm not totally reliant on local events.

O Steve!: 26:23 here...nothing to be to proud of...again, I could have easily shaved 2 minutes if I had kept my wits about me...I quess Justin won despite his pause at the finish to punch to early before realizing he had 3 more controls?...my minutes/k for the sprint was only slightly better than the 8k Red course....it was a tough sprint....
