Day of perfection. Trail run into Skoki Lodge with Bina, Mark, Bill and Andree. Larches had turned. Actual time on trail was much longer as we kept stopping to take pictures, skinny dip in lake, drink coffee at the lodge, and gasp at the incredible views. It simply DOES NOT get any better than today.
Elevation - 1300 m climb
Slow slow slow!!! I was proud of myself for finally getting out of bed at 5.30 am for a run before work, though. I felt great but my legs felt sluggish....just wouldn't turn over very fast. I think I'll blame it on yesterday's 6 hour scramble. With only 11 weeks until IRONMAN, it's time to get cracking on the training again.
Club Champs Sprint
A super fun sprint at the zoo this morning. My orienteering was off and my running still sluggish but it was definitely one of the most fun races that I've ever done. I was distracted by the snow leapod manning control 1, and then wolves who ran along side me on the way to control 5.
Great brunch buffet that followed as well.
Road Biking2:30:00 [3] 70.0 km (28.0 kph)
A magic afternoon of riding out to Bragg Creek for coffee. It felt great to be back on the tri bike and crusing on the highway. Hopefully this will kick start some motivation to get training again for Ironman.
