Decided I should do something a bit special to mark Jukola weekend so had a go at Malcolm's 12 Hills of North Glasgow route (see
here for details). Basically it's a hilly half marathon, mostly on tarmac but with some off-road bits - and a spooky tunnel! I ran it all on map memory, starting and finishing at the Roberts statue, and took a few different route choices from those shown (Malcolm's challenge encouraged this), though I'm not sure any were significantly quicker. I did manage to lose time in Sighthill cemetery due to not knowing the path layout (running straight across the graves didn't seem a good idea), as well as a couple of micro-route errors.
Pleased to survive it (just) despite tired legs from Friday, and happy with the time which was around what I was aiming for. I reckon it would be faster on a less humid day, and without summer veg. Might have a go in winter to look for an improved time.
