Running race (Kawana Parkrun) 25:05 [4] 5.0 km (5:01 / km) shoes: Kayano 24
Joined one of six (!) local Parkruns, this one down near Kawana Surf Club. Superb course, although it didn't look that great on the map - out and back along the coast. But it was through a lovely strip of she-oaks with houses on one side and the Pacific on the other. Nicely curvy and slightly undulating. Shame I wasn't in better form as I felt pretty crappy from the start. I suspect it is the combination of heat and jetlag catching up. Pushed it for a couple of km and then decided to just jog the rest of the course. Heaps of people did the run and it had a great atmosphere. Went for a dip in the surf afterwards - excellent!

Decided to follow up the Parkrun with a swim in the local outdoor pool. Lovely to swim outside in a 50m pool with a lane to myself. First swim for ages so arms and shoulders quite weak. But lovely to be out there ....
Running (Brisbane) 39:02 [3] 7.5 km (5:12 / km) shoes: Kayano 24
In Brisbane en route to the Sunshine Coast. Out for a very pleasant wander around my brother's suburb of Fairfield. Lots of cyclists out and about, plus a few runners. Nice houses in this part of the world, especially down near the river. But they all went under during the big flood a few years ago.

Back in Paris. Hip a little better after some rest and stretching but still not there. Had been hoping to keep up the weekend long(er) run, but decided to be a bit smart about it and take it relatively easy. Cool and damp morning.

Out with my sister, Pip, for a ride around the Bois. We started in light rain, which cleared up after 20 minutes. Very pleasant ride, chatting and planning for Pip's ride from Montpelier to Paris in June/July. I hope to join her for part of the big ride.
