walk trot (icy cold but sunny) 49:20 [3] 3.5 mi (14:06 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 460

Mid 20's with WC about 10 degrees colder. Supposed to hit 50 by end of day but snow showers Monday?

running (cold north wind tired) 58:45 [3] 5.5 mi (10:41 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Clifton 2

Tired from two days of deposition prep and testifying. Sluggish. Managed to run 14:45 last 1.5 miles.

So-called weather expert says it 47 with 42 WC but the WC felt WAY colder than that...more like in mid to high 30's.

walk trot (day two with attorneys) 35:24 [3] 2.55 mi (13:53 / mi)
shoes: Hoka Infinite

At office 8:15 to 4:30 yesterday. Actual deposition today.

Did some work on right leg knee as I noted yesterday and the result today was good. Just a matter of continuing to try this idea and see what happens. Lots of leg and body issues are due to age/wear/tear of course but also imbalance and weakness of key areas, muscles, etc. Core strength helps with almost everything but in this case right leg from thigh to calf seem weak and uncoordinated at times either with pulling leg forward, raising knee, and push off of the right foot.

Surges again...some just moderate stride out others I tried to make quicker...yesterday and today's description of workout the same but the surges were not quite the same.

walk trot (short bursts) 37:30 [3] 2.55 mi (14:42 / mi)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 34

Have to meet with lawyer today and tomorrow on old file...ugh. So much for retirement.

I did the 5 step or more stride out...at first slow...gradually more steps and smoother and quicker...about halfway the thought (and I had this before) occurred to me that my right knee seemed loose, but was not 'working' in same way when right thigh seemed to take a long time to warm up...and had caused a 'MS' worrisome thought here and there.

Perhaps my right knee and leg are just weaker for various reasons. I'm going to try to do more right leg reps of the separate leg exercises I do. It still seems whether its the knee or thigh or both that I cannot pull the leg up and forward like I should.

running (no energy) 56:09 [3] 5.0 mi (11:14 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 880 WB 4

I was wiped out...like I was a week ago Sunday...after a mile or so I never sped up...but for how weak and lethargic I felt this was at least 'quickish' in that context...

running (almost cold overall nice) 1:22:01 [3] 7.5 mi (10:56 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Ravenna 8

Much better this week. After last weeks horrible shuffling this was like actual running.

13:17 first mile even seemed ok...after a 14 min plus the past 2 weeks...
25 at 2 miles was same thing after 26 minute to nearly 28 minutes past few weeks to be down to 12:30 pace for a Sunday am run at 2 miles was okay too.

Last 3 miles was 30 min...last 2 miles 19:08 so I had some actual running in this. Cool NW breeze most of 2nd half. Knee stiff and a little grindy but it gets better by the end and now I can see I can feel that way and not necessarily have to be down for any training...at least I broke 11 min pace for a long run and also I was 2 minutes faster a mile even tho I went half mile further...that does not seem like a lot but now days even a half mile extra can cause a run to be a lot more challenging...not always...today it did tho.
