Haymarket Winter Bike League #2. Mostly pavement but rode my CX since that's what I've got. Bit of a disadvantage and couldn't hang with the front group of guys. Settled in with a couple folks...basically zero draft the first 35mi. Then hopped in a Haymarket line and shared the workload the last 10. Lots of new to me roads since there was so much pavement.

KISS Crit NA #5. Did this at the shop for a smart trainer promo for TBL. Feeling strong all night, covering the small attacks in the volcano up the banner each lap. Made a half-hearted attack after lap3 and no one came with me, so I settled back into the lead 15 woman pack. Got 3 aero powerups and for the most part used them each lap. I got one going into lap 6 and saved it for the finish. Pace picked up for the last K, and Ellen led out (too) early. I waited, timing my sprint a bit better. Blew by 3or 4 just before the line to finish more than a bike length ahead. New max HR for me...max watts 647 on the sprint. In real contention to qualify for the finale at this point.
