With Janet and Sarah. Wanted to see if I could still do 10k... Deer flies were awful - at one point apparently, I had >30 on my back! So I spent a lot of extra energy swiping at them...

Still hot and humid. Messed up the first control - still don't know why I was wrong. Lost >8min. Should have gone back to check it out... A lot of green on the map. And climb. Got into some nasty stuff en route to #3. Wandering around at #5. Was way too low for #9. Total loss 14+ minutes. Not my type of terrain... Guess I should spend more time in the Vancouver area!
Not sure if the partying by my camping neighbours till 3 am affected my energy levels...
