Trekked to work with iPod.
Legs sore may need to bus it home.

Update: got a ride home from Etoile.

Cycling 30:00 [3]

light and indoors (too rainy outside and too much taxes to do).

Running 1:50:00 [3]

SMT on a hot day with Travellinga, Sudden and SkaterMike. I started out hurtin' and finished the same way but felt good in the middle of the run. Plan is to do two more runs like this over the next two days.

Note

Hey Nev did you see this article in today's Globe?

Or were you out enjoying that beautiful seaside beach that you have out there in Alberta?

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

PM: AAA Nites @ Chedoke. Adventure Girl and Chloe helped pick-up flags.

That makes some O training at least one in 10 of the last 13 weeks!! O training is the #1 training type for me in 2009 so far - the way it should be.

Training followed by pizza and beers and cokes with XCDan, Sudden, SuperWes, and Turbo.

Strength 40:00 [3]

AM: Hardcore Monday two days late.

Note

"GHO" Army! Sudden was 5th in middle and 1st in long and 1st overall !!!! Congrats Hans.

Sudden

Cycling 25:00 [3]

still 'sick' from the middle distance. Skipped the race as it was the right thing to do but wish I could have raced. I need to travel to more races like this one.
Adventure Girl! also enjoyed the weekend.

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

WP middle (40) and on-map warm-up (20).

15 sec error at #2, 45 sec at #6 (wrong spot?).

So happy with the nav. Pushed hard and still hurtin'
6 hours later. Trouble with the heat?

Orienteering 1:00:00 [3]

On perhaps the least interesting Harriman map and it is still super sweet.

Knee sore afterwards due to three hyperextensions on downhill running.

The weekend is gonna hurt.

Cycling 1:15:00 [3]

Getting warmer but still a cold wind.

Looking forward to racing at West Point. Being able to keep a fast pace in the long will be tough on those hills so time for some training in my fave place to O - Harriman!

Join a few of us at Sebago from 1-3 on Friday (must leave parking lot by 4pm).

Cycling 1:30:00 [3]

rail trail with Sudden. not sure of total time.

Meridian was waiting at my house when I got back and he got to witness me getting dizzy and falling down my steps into the basement bashing my left arm and knee (which are mega sore). Then Springsteen came by.

Strength 20:00 [3]

after a chat with Sudden I thought I better do this before I get injured (no wait I am injured...)

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

GRR CP pick-up with the Wadd Squad. Another nice and sunny day.

CP 1/17, 9, 10, 11, and 16 are the only CP's still in the woods (AP'ers email me if you are interested in picking any of these up before next weekend).

Orienteering 45:00 [3]

GRR vetting and watching the race. Way cool to have been in the crevasse with the lead teams. Photos to follow.

Congrats to all the teams for taking part in our toughest
and longest GRR adventure run yet. We are definately Ontario's toughest running series.

Time to do some racing of my own now but first it's time to pick up the flags.

Orienteering 1:55:00 [3]

GRR setup.

In my opinion this is THE best Giant's Rib Raid course yet.

(but my predicted winning time was kinda off)

Strength 20:00 [3]

ouch. I'm hurtin' after yesterday's orienteering. West Point is gonna be painful.

Cycling 25:00 [3]

easy ride (indoors cause it is icky out there).

Awesome to see Serghei L. win the Flying Pig sprint on the weekend. His solid training is paying off.

Orienteering 3:20:00 [3]

At Rocky Ridge and 'middle earth' setting up the GRR with the Griz. Very very tough workout. Ran 10K of course at race pace.

One section of the race has an AP members nickname in the section title.

One section consists of only big ass boulders to run on for 500m!!!

Boring but had to edit a paper so....

Running 50:00 [3]

2.5 times times 2.5 times up the Lowry with Sudden, turbo, the GriZ, Xc dan and Wil smith. Barfed up a lung part way through. It has been said that nobody else will have done a tougher workout in Hamilton than us.

Known for his great running fashion sense, Wil was sporting some great Walmart threads today. Had the march madness baggy shorts look and everything.

Go Green. Go White.

No April Fool...

Name the Canadian band with that song! I think it is Chalk Circle off the Great Lake LP. Dunno.
