Bit of a effort logging all of the stockholm stuff, will get around to it sometime. Awesome tour,loved it! Great trainings and racing did alright in the races i.e won the first leg of melkes minne relay, but some other times had potential to do well but mistakes in the very tricky terrain knocked be down the results,but was one of the best brits overall on the tour. Sweden was great and can't wait to come back!

Good to be back at striders and catch up with Phil and Pat.
Tough session to get back into, bit slower after two weeks in terrain but got through well enough, pat set me target of 90s. Pretty hot as it was humid!

Played tennis for an hour, had a knock then played a set against luke - I obviously won!

easy with three hill efforts, feel so much stronger on the hills than I did in spring, shows what two weeks orienteering does for you. Good to see mike out and about up at the top, lovely weather and nice views.

Logged what I could make out of the training I did at Cairngorm from my Garmin. Good training camp, prepped me up nicely for the Scottish 6.

Recovery run with Bangus, good to train with him for the first time in years, he's back in business!

Overall pleased with 6days despite two bad days, had some great fun in Moray and can't wait to return in 2015, woc2015 is gonna be awesome! Showed I'm coming back into shape after a disappointing jk2013. A bit of a learning curve in the spring season, off to Stockholm on the 13th, can't wait. Season may not be over yet as selections still to come out and am probably going over to Norway to the 25manna in October.

Perfect recovery with angus, Hit with him and then played a few tie breaks. Think I tweaked something in my glute on last day of scottish, easing up now though.

Day 6-4th
Loved the area, and felt physically strong all the way. Solid run with an early start, mistake after the road crossing-didn't picture it right but relocated quickly(1m) and a smaller mistake 20s on 24 was just too high, but realised quickly.

So good technical performance but actually lost some on routechoice,was to safe on 1 and went round the path(30s) on 10 and 11 didn't invest enough time planning- lost 1m 40.

Got beaten to 3rd place by 1 second and so knocked down in overall rankings.Good finish to the six days,winsplits puts me first with time without mistakes and with an early start on an area tracked up lots, obviously running well.

Day 5- 6th

Start with the positives a lot of legs running and navigating smoothly lots of top 5 splits. However head not really in the game for this one and not taking in enough detail, only day I messed up no.1 - 50 sec mistake! great after that but once I was back in the game, messed it up on 12- parralell error(2m 20 lost) great approach to control and everything fitted but to arrogant to relocate quickly! lost a top 3 place here, but ah well better keep going and enjoy the lovely area actually got myself refocused and within a minute of second place but then got sloppy near the end.

Love this area and could of easily done great but didn't have the right focus and appriach to the race, ahh well, will beat this forest another day ;)!

Massive WU as big walk to the start. no CD; didn't feel like I would gain from it as sat down to much after finished.

Day 4- 3rd

Really Great Run,steady orienteering,strong running in the terrain and mistake-less.Did the basics right and kept it simple, but silly time loss on routechoice lost 55 seconds by going straight through the green to 8, wasn't even thinking about going to the crossing point! Only other time loss was some hesistations on 11 and start of leg to 14, and running through semi open to 5.

Very pleased with this race, another early start but didn't let it affect me! Bit annoyed that someone in particular(we all know who) who decided to change his start time, could of been first Brit this day but ah well.

Good to watch the euromeeting!
