Shaw Centre pool in Saskatoon. I went at the time scheduled for "lane swim in the 50 m pool". I was surprised to see the lane swim was width-wise, and only 3 narrow unroped lanes. I chatted with the life guard afterwards, and he said he had never seen the 50m lane swim open, and seemed to think the idea was funny. Strange.

Carruther's Woods in the DVP. Some great single track in here that made for good running. Knee a little sore half way through and painful by the end.

Mainly right side breathing. Some faster, left side strokes too. An annoying fellow kept bumping into my feet for several lengths, but seemed strangely unwilling to pass when I slowed down or stopped at the end of the lane.

Had a massage on the legs and bought a foam roller to pulverize my leg muscles.

Spent a couple of long days in Saskatoon. Back in time to enjoy some nice weather.

I was aiming for a one hour run today, and headed to the trails in High Park, hoping the irregular surfaces of the trails woul be easier on my Itb. Got in about 30 minutes before I got nervous about twinges in the knees.

Just the 25m pool today. Two elite (very fast) swimmers were in the medium lane today, which was annoying, but also awesome to look at.

Technique. Focus on arm movements, right side breathing, sighting, some sprints.

I went for a massage on Monday, and my ITB feels much better. I haven't tried to run on it yet though.

I was planning to go for much longer, but developed severe ITB pain. I had to take the TTC back. It was colder, -5, and wind chilly. Stretching did not seem to solve things at all.
